Can I use locally obtainable components to set up or service my Heat
Wagon or Sure Flame heater?
OEM components should always be used in any repair or set up situation. Only
OEM components are tested and approved by Heat Wagon engineers as
well as independent approval services. Non-OEM components may
affect how the heater performs and can cause heater failure or personal
injury. Non-OEM components will void factory warranty.
How do I know what size heater I need for the job?
You can use a formula that will roughly determine your BTU needs. The
formula is:
(Cubic Feet)(.133)( Desired Temperature Rise) = BTU Needed
| For example: |
Building A |
| Length |
100’ |
| Width |
50’ |
| Height |
20’ |
100’ x 50’= 5,000 square feet, multiply that by 20’ (ceilings),
and you have 100,000 cubic feet. If you want to raise the building
temperature by 50 degrees, then your formula will be as follows:
(100,000)(.133)(50) = 665,000 BTU’s
Given the BTUs needed, (2) S405 or (2) VG400 models are adequate.
