How do I know what size heater I need for the job? You can use a formula that will roughly determine your BTU needs.
The formula is: (Cubic Feet)(.133)( Desired Temperature Rise) = BTU Needed

For example: Building A
Length  100’
Width 50’
Height 20’

100’ x 50’= 5,000 square feet, multiply that by 20’ (ceilings), and you have 100,000 cubic feet. If you want to raise the building temperature by 50 degrees, then your formula will be as follows: (100,000)(.133)(50) = 665,000 BTU’s Given the BTUs needed, (2) S405 or (2) VG400 models are adequate.
